Each bench in our "Douglas" line is constructed from premium grade Douglas Fir. This wood is known for it's excellent weight to strength ratio rivaling the hardwood family thus giving you an extremely durable bench that is lightweight and strong! And, due to it's abundance here in North Idaho, we can offer this bench at a premium price!
